Chianti is a red wine produced in the districts around Arezzo, Florence, Pisa, Pistoia and Siena, and the Chianti Vineyard is the largest in Tuscany as regards acreage and production. A second consortium was then founded in oppositiOn to Chianti, Under the general name of Chlantj Puttø and the emblem of a cherub, to act as an umbrella organization for the other denominazione Montalbano, Rufina, Colli Fiorentini, Colli Senesi, Colli Aretini and Colline Pisane; the title Is granted only to wines produced with grapes harvested and made into wine within the respective areas.
